My credentials include a Master of Music Degree with honors from Northwestern University in the areas of Piano Performance and Pedagogy as well as a Bachelor of Music degree from UC Santa Barbara. I have studied at the University of Iowa, where I have been working on a Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree in Piano Performance, with a Theory Pedagogy Minor, and a certification in Music Therapy. I have a passion for teaching and have taught students of all ages and levels in a variety of situations. My background includes teaching classes and private lessons at Northwestern University and the University of Iowa. My university level teaching has been directed to Class Piano for non-piano music majors as well as studio teaching of college students, both music and non-music majors. During this time, I have been active as a solo performer, accompanist, and chamber musician while maintaining a private piano studio involving private and group instruction, coaching ensembles and teaching accompanying skills, for students from preschool to adult levels. Over the years, my students have consistently placed or won local, state, and national competitions.
