Lessons for elementary-age children begin around the age of 6 or 7, depending on the readiness of the indiviual child. Beginners generally take a 30-minute lesson once a week and are expected to practice between lessons. Adult students can take a 30, 45, or 60-minute lessons depending on their goals and previous piano experience. Adults also must practice in order to fully benefit from piano lessons. Lesson content is generally the same, but more in-depth and sophisitcated for the adults. ...and adults don't have to play in recitals!
